The Quarters is proud to provide sponsorship for Jordan Catchpole, who at 16 years of age has a bright swimming future ahead of him, competing in the S14 classification of Para swimming.

Jordan Catchpole has a place on the Para-Academy Squad !!This exciting news has just been announced – November 2016.

The Para-Academy Squad which will form the transition and confirmation process from Home Nation talent programmes onto the World Class Programme.

Jordan trains with the National youth squad at UEA City of Norwich Swimming club. In July 2016 Jordan was offered a place on the England talent programme, this programme underpins the British Swimming talent programme, and runs alongside the Swimmers regular training.

Jordan is now Coached by Alex Pinniger, who coached one swimmer to Paralympic gold in the S14, 200m free style at the London 2012 Paralympic games.

Achievements in 2015 -2016

National Para-Swimming Championships, 12th 13th  December 2015, Manchester Aquatic Centre.

This was Jordan’s 1st para competition.

  • Gold in S14  14-17yrs 50m freestyle
  • Bronze in S14  14-17yrs 100m backstroke

ASA East Region Summer Regional Championships. 30th April to 2nd May, UEA Sportspark Norwich.

(East Region is: Norfolk Suffolk Essex Cambs Beds Herts).

This is an able bodied event with a multi classification Para section.

  • 7 swims
  • 6 x gold
  • 1 x Silver
  • 7 regional records achieved.

ASA East Region Open Water Regional Championships, 17th July 2016, Whitlingham lake Norwich.

East Region 17 – 19yrs Men.

  • 3K  Gold medal

Norfolk men’s 3000m Champion.

  • Trophy (This is an exceptional achievement as this was an able bodied, not para event).

Asa Summer National Championships 2016, 1st to 5th August 2016, Ponds Forge Sheffield. 

  • 100m freestyle S14………………..Gold
  • 200m individual medley S14….Gold
  • 50m freestyle S14………………….Gold
  • 100m butterfly S14………………..Gold
  • 400m Freestyle S14……………….Silver
  • 100m Breaststroke S14…………..Bronze
